You may have noticed that the majority of namesakes of Los Angeles County streets are wealthy (or at least aspirationally wealthy) white male landowners, realtors, and politicians from the 19th and 20th centuries. If you’re craving some variety, I’ve set up this section with lists of streets named for other groups of people. Be forewarned: these lists are not very substantial; we still have a long way to go before our street names reflect the enormous diversity of our county.
