I’m not 100% positive, but it’s extremely likely that Vermont Drive owes its name to Harry V. Wheeler (1850-1929), the surveyor who laid out the streets in the Atwood Addition in 1925 and for whom neighboring Wheeler Road is named. You see, Wheeler was born and raised in Waterford, Vermont.
