Named for Moses Langley “M.L.” Wicks (1852-1919), who co-owned this 1907 tract (“Pasadena Park Tract No. 2”). The street was originally called Mill Avenue; it’s not clear when it was renamed for Wicks, but the earliest mention I found of Wicks Road was in 1942. M.L. Wicks was an attorney by trade, but he really made his mark as a real estate speculator. See Wicks Street in Sun Valley for much more.
