The Kelton Estates tract was mapped out here in 1970 by brothers Richard (1929-2009) and David (c. 1936-) Kelton, partnering with their father Louis, a major SoCal developer (see Keltonview Drive in Pico Rivera for more on him). Six of the tract’s streets were thus named after Kelton offspring: Richard’s kids Mark (1954-) and Kerry (1956-2022) are represented by Markel Drive and Kerry Robin Drive; David’s daughters Denise (1959-), Cheryl (1962-), Lisa (1964-), and Jennifer (1965-) are honored by Denise Place, Cheryl Kelton Place, Lisa Kelton Place, and Jennifer Place. Why was “Kelton” added to Cheryl and Lisa but not the others? Not sure. Such a tweak might be made to prevent conflicts with other like-named streets, but there were no other Cheryl- or Lisa-themed roadways in this neck of the woods in 1970. P.S. from the Art Department: Richard I.M. Kelton was renowned for his collection of Australian Aboriginal art.
