In olden times – this street was named by 1903 – Cudahy Avenue did indeed go all the way down to Cudahy, which at the time was still just meatpacker Michael Cudahy‘s planned (but never completed) stockyards. The bulk of the road became part of Atlantic Avenue/Boulevard in 1923-1925, leaving just this lonely little nubbin behind.
