This 1950 street surely owes its name to Arthur Theodore “Ted” Emory (1862-1960), a New Yorker who lived in Whittier from 1905 until his dying day. In fact Tedemory Drive predates Emory Drive by three years; see that street’s entry for more on Emory and his family.
