Were there indeed two trees on this hilltop avenue when it was named in 1924? We may assume so, but I found no photographs or anecdotes from the day that could confirm it. If you’re curious, the street was part of a small tract owned by Ed Shipsey, Richard F. and Mary F. Bennett, and Carrie J. Elmore and her son-in-law Charles O. Goodwin.
