One of the original streets laid out on the La Puente townsite in 1885-1886, this honors the late William Workman (c. 1799-1876), who co-owned (with John A. Rowland) Rancho La Puente in the 1840s. The street is located about a mile east of the Workman and Temple Family Homestead Museum. For more on William Workman, see Temple City’s Workman Avenue.
