This street honors Alvan Tyler “A.T.” Currier (1840-1921), a prominent local rancher who became a county sheriff, state senator, and director of the First National Bank of Pomona. (See Currier Road in the City of Industry for a biography.) Currier Street was named by 1918 and possibly earlier: it’s located on the old Currier tract, which was established here by A.T. Currier, John Weber, Meyer Lewis, and others way back in 1887.
