Susana del Amo (1844-1931) was one of the six Domínguez sisters who inherited thousands of acres of Rancho San Pedro in 1883. Born and reared on the rancho, María Susana Delfina Domínguez married Gregorio del Amo, a Spanish doctor, in 1890; read more about the couple at Del Amo Boulevard. Susana Road was named in 1954 or 1955 while Domínguez heirs – and their associated corporations – were turning 1,300 acres of family property into the Rancho San Pedro industrial development. Nearby Victoria Street honors Susana’s sister Victoria Domínguez de Carson.
